What's an Alpha?
Alphas are SheWolf's volunteer leadership board: the women who turn this community from something you attend into something you build. Every meetup, scholarship dollar, and "I finally found my people" moment exists because an Alpha made it happen.
Being an Alpha isn't about perfection or having extra time you don't have. It's about showing up with heart, claiming a lane that fits your life, and leading the pack your way.
What Alphas Do
Every Alpha takes on 2-3 specific roles from our Alpha Board. If more than one woman wants a role, perfect: we form a committee. Here's where you can lead:
Content + Social most needed
Social media content gathering (monthly calendars, event graphics, recaps, marketing posts), plus text message marketing, newsletter and comms help, and member surveys.
Community + Welcome most needed
Member app managers who welcome new members, run birthday shoutouts, and keep chats like Mama Wolves and Business Babes buzzing. Plus the welcoming committee at events and postcard and welcome card mailers.
Give Back + Nonprofit most needed
Lead our give-back and nonprofit support program, plan charitable initiatives, and manage the scholarship fund: track funds, review requests, coordinate comped slots.
Events
Tuesday Coffee and Happy Hour meetup leads, the event planning committee (Move, Create, and more), the annual Ladies Night committee, and retreat planning.
Partnerships + Growth
Local business ambassador, sponsorship management in both directions (partners who sponsor us, and causes we sponsor), and the growth team for business advising and future chapters.
Operations
CRM management, accounting and budget advising, and general behind-the-scenes support that keeps the pack running.
What We Expect
- One-year commitment. At the end of your year, extend for another term or roll off with our gratitude. No guilt, no awkwardness.
- 5-10 hours per month, on your schedule. Some months more, some less.
- Own 2-3 Alpha Board roles in your lane and keep them moving.
- Attend the monthly Alpha huddle: a dinner and "board meeting" with your fellow Alphas. Between huddles we stay connected through occasional virtual meetings, the Alpha group text, and our private Alpha space in the app.
- Embody SheWolf values. Alphas set the tone: inclusive, generous, real.
